On National Neighbors Day, residents of various reception centers for Ukrainian refugees managed by us thanked their neighbors with flowers as an expression of appreciation, support, and solidarity.
The aim of this campaign was to promote mutual contact between local residents and emphasize the impact of small, positive gestures. In Alphen aan den Rijn, the campaign took place simultaneously with the opening of a new reception center in Benthuizen. During this event, visitors and local residents had the opportunity to view the location; upon departure, they received a plant as a token of appreciation. With this initiative, we are contributing to a welcoming atmosphere from day one and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
In the municipalities of Altena, Venlo, Tilburg, and Alphen aan den Rijn, among others, plants were distributed to both existing and new neighbors to promote acquaintance and recognize their involvement. This activity brought Ukrainian and Dutch residents closer together, underscoring the importance of support within the community, not only on special occasions but also in everyday life.
The day was characterized by positive interactions, friendly conversations, and a strengthened sense of community, in keeping with the essence of living together.
