Municipality of Amsterdam and B-Right Urban Living sign leasehold agreement

On 16 September, the Municipality of Amsterdam and B-Right Urban Living entered into a leasehold agreement for the development of 486 affordable rental homes at Hettenheuvelweg 8-10 in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, intended for students and young people up to the age of 28.

The newly planned residential building, situated next to the future Hondsrugpark, will consist of self-contained studios, complemented by various communal facilities such as a rooftop terrace, shared living rooms and an inner garden. These communal spaces encourage connections between residents and with the wider neighbourhood. By designing spaces for exercise, relaxation and collaboration, the complex contributes to a healthy, cohesive and inviting urban district. The complex, which will be called Treble, will provide both affordable housing and foster community spirit among young residents of Amsterdam.

Demolition work on the existing buildings has already begun. Construction of the new complex is scheduled to start in December 2025, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2028.

With this project, the Municipality of Amsterdam and B-Right Urban Living are jointly fulfilling their ambition to provide affordable housing for young people in the city. The project aligns seamlessly with previous B-Right Urban Living developments in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, which focus on creating accessible living spaces with special attention to liveability, sustainability and social cohesion.
